Dateline October 19, 2025

ASL Scenario of the Day:

SP6 Udarnik Bridgehead

October 19, 1941

There is a lot of information below; please read through. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING – is start emailing (at BIGM82AB@AOL.COM) me your arrival times so I can start matching first round opponents. I will start matching up opponents asap. If you guys want to set up your own matches please feel free and let me know. In either case I will run the scenario selection part of the process.

By the way PLEASE make the website a favorite so you can find it easily.

I added a new scenario scan to the download page as VotG 9 and 26 were missing. Unfortunately I did not notice that a few other cans got messed up (RPT36, SF21, SAP6, OB6, J72 and AoC3). I will bring copies of those to Albany.

Steve Pleva once again provided us with the Pleva Balances for all the tournament scenarios; these are available for download from our website. Thanks Steve!

The Albany Special Rules and PIS have been added to the downloads as well.

The minis have been updated to 2025. Thanks to Paul Sidhu for taking this on this year! Email both Paul (at pauls838@gmail.com) and myself if you would like to participate.

FYI – Hazmo53 Kerosene and Kiedrzyn  has been renamed Gasoline Alley. Thanks to HazMo for provided a sneak peak copy for the tourney. Speaking of HazMo I just wanted to let you all know what's in the works for HazMo 6, due to be released at the Albany tournament in December! It contains 10 fun, new, thoroughly-playtested scenarios, a new 2-sided map (ETO on one side, PTO on the other) by the amazing Tom Repetti, Multi-App SSRs and Rules to Remember (as usual). The free scenario from this pack is HazMo55 ("The Wounded Beast"), which is uploaded on our webpage. If you like what you see, be sure to put your preorder in with Joe Leoce at (ASL726@aol.com)! Cost: $55

Things to bring.....besides the obvious if you can bring the maps required for  VotG9, VotG27, SaP6 and SF21 as well as the associated SSRs/rules (I will have a copy of the new  Historical Rules book handy – it’s a great buy!). I will also have a few maps for BC16 prepared.....there are a crazy number of overlays on that one.

Important Reminder: if you registered for Albany 2025 on the website you still need to pay Joe Leoce (at ASL726@aol.com) and if you paid Joe already please register for Albany 2025 on the site if you haven't already. It’s a two part process. If you have not registered yet and know you are coming I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. And remember simply joining the website does not register you for the tourney. As of 8/22 there were 15 registrants.

For those who arrive Wednesday I am arranging a special tour of the DE 766 USS Slater, the last Destroyer Escort afloat in the United States. She is remarkably well preserved (I know first-hand) and all proceeds from this tour go towards the continued maintenance of this amazing piece of history. We have five people committed to this tour already and I highly recommend it. We will meet at the ship at 2PM that Wednesday. The address is: 141 Broadway & Quay St, Albany, NY 12202 (518) 431-1943

All please remember the tourney hotel room rate ($75 per night) can only be gotten when you book directly with the hotel.

Again please spread the word about the tournament. One of our goals this year is to get the attendance up this year. I would appreciate if you have someone who might be interested you let them know and tell them about your (hopefully) great experiences at Albany. I see a few new names among the registrants so that's great!
